IDEA #2: PROMOTIONAL ADVERTISING PACKAGE / PROJECT
Students explore how a promotional ad package works by conducting
research and developing marketing materials for a department at BCIT.
Students will collect, evaluate, and organize researched information,
identify target audiences, create budgets, analyze the effectiveness of
advertising media, and prepare graphics, layouts, and printed materials.
In addition to conducting research and creating materials, the students will
test-market their projects, accept critiques, and make appropriate
revisions. The students will present their ideas through an oral/visual
presentation.
This provides possible opportunities for collaboration between marketing, printing,
entertainment tech and Ad Art students as well as academic instructors of language arts and math.
